Guwahati, Oct 13: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reaffirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure across the state, highlighting its importance in nurturing grassroots talent.
Speaking at the inauguration of a multi-sports complex in Naharkatia, Dibrugarh district, Sarma said such facilities would provide aspiring athletes with opportunities to hone their skills and achieve excellence. He expressed confidence that the newly opened complex would inspire young sportspersons to pursue their ambitions and bring recognition to Assam.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government’s vision was to ensure access to modern sports infrastructure even in remote areas, thereby creating an environment where talent can be identified, supported, and developed for the future.
