The Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) of the Eighth Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh began its 6th sitting on Monday at the Assembly Conference Hall.
The sitting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohesh Chai, Chairman of the Committee.
On the first day of the sitting, three government departments, Tourism, Science & Technology, and Public Works Department (PWD), appeared before the Committee to tender oral evidence in connection with the Reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India.
The Committee deliberated at length on various audit paras and observations reflected in the CAG reports pertaining to the concerned departments. The representatives of the departments furnished explanations and clarifications which were examined by the Committee for further consideration and appropriate action.
The Tax & Excise Department is scheduled to appear before the Committee on 13th October, 2026, the second day of the sitting.
The sitting was attended by PAC Members, Wanglin Lowangdong, MLA, Topin Ete, MLA, Toko Tatung, MLA, and Mopi Mihu, MLA.
Principal Accountant General, Special Secretary (Planning), and senior officers of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Secretariat including Secretary Tadar Meena, Additional Secretary Agaab Mossang and Under Secretary Kheto Lowang were also present.
