A woman and a male youth have been charged following a series of gatherings in Dumfries and Galloway.
Police have been dealing with several disturbances which took place the last few days in the town of Annan.
According to police, just after 6.30pm on Monday a group gathered on Hallmeadow Grove and significant damage was caused to two properties and a vehicle.
Officers attended the scene, and police vehicles were vandalised and items were thrown at officers.
This follows other gatherings over the weekend in the same place and elsewhere in Annan.
On Sunday, a male youth and a woman were charged in connection with vandalism and threatening and abusive behaviour.
Police say enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved in the disorder.
Chief Inspector Anna Boyd said: “Violence, disorder and threatening behaviour towards members of the public and police will not be tolerated and an investigation is now underway to identify those responsible.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing, including reviewing CCTV footage.
“We recognise the impact these incidents have had on the community and additional patrols are being carried out in the area. Anyone with concerns can approach officers.
“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incidents, who has not yet spoken to police, to contact us.
“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3186 of October 19.
Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
