Love feels daunting
when there’s no guarantee,
When three little dots follow you and me.
I fight for a dream I can never claim,
Knowing I’ll lose,
yet returning to the game.
You’re my best-kept secret, my
sweetest appeal, A dangerous truth
that could shatter what’s real.
I love what we are, though I know what we’ll never be, A beautiful illusion with no future for you and me.
I bleed onto paper, let my ink tell the tale, Of a love kept in shadows,
destined to fail.
You know what this is, and darling, so do I, We’re not a love story that can live in the light of the sky.
We’re two secret players
enjoying the thrill,
Pretending we’re strangers,
concealing what’s real.
You’re intoxicating in
every touch and word,
The sweetest temptation
I’ve ever heard.
But some things feel heavenly and still come at a price, And not every temptation is worth the sacrifice.
You’re more than a secret I could bury in the deep, You’re the beautiful danger that steals away my sleep.
Perhaps you’ll always be the story I never tell, The sweetest temptation I knew all too well.
Three little dots, and a story incomplete,
A love I cannot claim, a goodbye I may never speak.
I am Lady Z.
