KUALA LUMPUR: The East Coast Economic Region Development Council has teamed up with TGA Solutions Sdn Bhd to attract investments into Tanjung Agas Industrial Area (KPTA) in Pekan, Pahang, including a proposed integrated data centre hub.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) will see both parties work together on investment promotion, investor identification and strategic partnerships.
The MoU will also facilitate potential projects across high-impact industrial, manufacturing and services sectors.
The collaboration will also explore opportunities in the digital economy, with the proposed data centre hub potentially anchoring a wider ecosystem spanning telecommunications, energy supply, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), engineering services and supporting industries.
The development could strengthen local supply chains while positioning KPTA as a destination for technology-driven investments.
Spanning about 1,710 hectares, KPTA has basic infrastructure in place and key development approvals secured, providing a platform for industrial expansion and new investments.
The initiative is expected to support Pahang's economic development ambitions, enhance the state's investment competitiveness and drive sustainable growth.
