The first of three student and supporter columns set to march to Belgrade from northern, eastern, and western Serbia left the city of Zajecar on Friday morning. The marchers are heading to the capital for the final campaign rally of the “Student List – Students Win” electoral list on October 22.
N1’s reporter at the assembly on Zajecar’s central town square reported that this initial group will be marching for five full days.
To join fellow students and supporters arriving on foot from all corners of the country at Belgrade’s Slavija Square on October 22, the first stop for the group that departed Zajecar on Friday is the city of Bor. Their subsequent route will take them through Zagubica, Petrovac na Mlavi, Pozarevac, and Smederevo before they reach their final destination in the capital.
Serbia’s snap parliamentary elections are scheduled for Sunday, October 25.
